Overview

The TECNOSOFT Methodology is a key differentiator that adds value to all of our service offerings. It is a phased approach that addresses all aspects of Information Technology (IT) projects, from initial analysis through operational support. The Methodology also includes project management activities and procedures to ensure that engagements are performed with maximum client satisfaction, in accordance with specifications, schedules and budgets.

The Methodology draws heavily upon the processes and best practices from several sources, including: the Software Engineering Institute, the International Standards Organization (ISO), our vendor partners, and the extensive experience of our staff. TECNOSOFT enhanced these source materials to provide the most efficient and effective means to deliver our tailored solutions in concert with our high standards of performance, and in line with our customers' needs. Many of our enhancements are focused on means to develop effective pilots and prototypes for our eCRM solutions, and for other applicable projects, as well.

The Figure below illustrates the methodology. Moving the cursor over the across the various sections of the Figure will display pop-ups describing the specific components within each of them. Clicking on the text will take you to the appropriate section.

Analyze and Plan Design and Develop Install and Integrate Deploy and Support Project Management

TECNOSOFT follows a complete lifecycle approach, from an initial needs assessment to ongoing training, maintenance, and support. We believe that a delivered system is only as strong as its weakest link. In this regard, we view each phase in the system development lifecycle as critical. Some of the guiding principles that we apply across all phases are:

  • Consideration for the entire system, including ease of use and supportability, will be addressed at every stage in the system life cycle, from initial design through maintenance and support (including system modifications).

  • Technical requirements will mirror business requirements and will include integration with the client's legacy systems. The system's functional requirements will be prioritized based on client's needs, cost and schedule constraints.

  • Effective communication is a critical success factor for virtually every project; all pertinent staff associated with the project will receive accurate information in a timely manner. Efforts to obtain input from, and promote the system to users and other stakeholders is especially important for system acceptance and adoption, and hence for success.

The TECNOSOFT Project Management Processes and Best Practices are used to implement these principles.
